Note

The song begins with a classical style acoustic intro from Elliott, after which a synthesizer part kicks in from Steve Pickering and with electric guitar chords from Elliott. Elliott had also originally wanted to add some “heavy metal hammer-ons” as noted in the 2013 psychobiography about Elliott entitled Torment Saint: The Life of Elliott Smith, but Pickering talked him out of it.
